THE CHALLENGE

The main challenge for the KISS NEW YORK Social Media Design project was to create engaging and visually appealing content that would capture the attention of a diverse audience across various social media platforms. The brand needed a fresh and dynamic approach to highlight its extensive range of beauty products while maintaining a consistent and recognizable visual identity. Additionally, the design had to effectively convey the brand’s values of innovation, quality, and inclusivity.

THE SOLUTION

To address these challenges, we developed a vibrant and cohesive social media design strategy that included eye-catching graphics, dynamic animations, and compelling visuals tailored for each platform. With the assistance of the Art Director, we incorporated bold colors, modern typography, and high-quality product photography to create content that stands out in users’ feeds. By establishing a consistent visual style and leveraging the latest trends in social media design, we were able to enhance KISS NEW YORK’s online presence, engage its audience, and drive brand awareness and loyalty.

THE PROCESS

As an intern at KISS NEW YORK, I had the opportunity to collaborate closely with the Art Director, Senior Designer, and the Marketing Team to develop a dynamic and engaging social media presence and marketing collaterals for the brand. My role involved contributing to the creative process while ensuring brand consistency and audience engagement. Here’s the step-by-step process:

Instagram Feed Design

  1. Concept Development – Worked alongside the Art Director and Marketing Team to define a bold, modern, and inclusive visual direction that reflects KISS NEW YORK’s brand values.

  2. Layout & Composition – Assisted in designing Instagram grid layouts, carousel posts, and animated stories, ensuring a mix of product highlights, tutorials, and beauty tips.

  3. Color & Typography Application – Applied bold colors, dynamic typography, and high-quality product photography to make posts stand out in users' feeds.

  4. Trend Research & Adaptation – Monitored social media trends to integrate interactive content formats, such as reels, motion graphics, and influencer collaborations.

  5. Content Optimization – Designed high-engagement assets, including before-and-after visuals, giveaways, and product launches, adapting content for different platforms.

Marketing Collaterals

  1. Brand Consistency – Developed digital and print materials such as flyers, in-store promotions, and event banners, ensuring alignment with the brand’s aesthetic.

  2. Collaboration & Feedback – Presented concepts to the Senior Designer and Art Director for refinement, iterating based on their feedback to enhance clarity, impact, and cohesiveness.

  3. Finalization & Delivery – Prepared files for multiple formats and platforms, ensuring high-quality output for both digital campaigns and physical marketing materials.

Through this collaborative experience, I strengthened my skills in brand communication, trend-driven design, and cross-team coordination, contributing to a more impactful and visually engaging presence for KISS NEW YORK across social media and marketing platforms.
